My name is Kim Pestana. Since I am new to the website design and development field, I am very affordable to hire. I am the one you want to hire when you have a small budget for your website and do not want to pay for the more sophisticated developers. Guerilla marketing is defined as "unconventional marketing intended to get maximum results from minimal resources". If you are in this position, I can help you create the best web site for your advertising dollar. Moreover, you will get the benefits of 20+ years of sales and marketing experience. My philosophy on website design is to design websites that achieve my clients' marketing and sales objectives. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Bryant University where I majored in Marketing. Currently, I am attending Manatee Community College where I have a 4.0 GPA to date. My professor in my Web Development class often asks me to help the other students in the class. I plan to obtain two Associate of Science Degrees with majors in Computer Programming and Computer Information Technology. I also like to use color in the websites I design, which I am sure you have already noticed. I feel that white is appropriate in some instances. I feel that a Web site should not only achieve your marketing goals but look enticing and artistic and reflect your "corporate/individual personality". Which ads do you remember on television? The ones whose creators know how to sell the benefits of their product and service, not the ones that "feature dump", the ads that are creative and entertaining (like the Super Bowl advertisements), and the ones who get your attention with a creative edge. Websites that are sleek, simple, and colorful (not overdone) really attract my attention and motivate me to click on all the links just to see the graphics. In addition, I feel that websites should offer some entertainment value. They should keep the reader involved and focused so that they stay on the site longer and view all of the web pages. I want to create websites that have beautiful graphic designs with audio and video components (when appropriate) and make them quick to load! I have two computer graphics students that I am working with also- one is from MCC and one is attending the Ringling School of Art for computer graphics. My clients love my ideas to market their businesses. I am also learning how to use various graphics and interactive media programs. I have some experience with getting top search engine rankings. Please try it for yourself. Go to Google or your favorite search engine and type "Kim Pestana" or "Everything Latino" and click the search button. When I meet with a web client, I prepare a mockup with them. You can see my original mockup for this website here. As you can see, it is quite different from my finished product. I believe that websites should be updated on a regular basis to inform clients of events, new information, promotions, sales, pricing, etc. When used as part of a strategic marketing plan, websites are a very powerful marketing tool. Multimedia components like a television advertisement, offer "sight, sound, color, motion, and emotion". My business card reflects my website design. Companies should generate a consistent marketing image with all of their marketing materials: business cards, logos, flyers, website design, letterhead, etc. I am also an artist. I have worked with various media - oil paint, acrylic paint, pencil, and clay (Fimo and Sculpey). My hobbies are Nancy Drew Mystery Video Games, reading, making jewelry, dancing, painting mini villages, singing (not everyone likes this hobby...lol), and of course, anything to do with COMPUTERS! The photography of the sculptures (click on the white diamonds) was done by Gene Pollux. Here is his website: Gene Pollux Photography. |
